Compost workshops

We teach thermaphilic composting through a hands on workshop approach to individuals, small groups and organisations, anyone who would like to learn this process.

These compost piles have a quick turnaround and if managed properly can result in biologically complete usable compost within in about 3-6 of months or can be used as a good mulch after just one month. We use diverse materials to make the piles and this is how they can help bring biology back into the soil. This is a great way to use your garden waste. Thermaphilic composting not only kills pests, diseases and pathogens but also weed seeds.

A typical workshop will last about a day, starting with a talk about the importance of microbes and their role in the soil, followed by how the compost process works and how we make the pile, what ingredients we'll be using, different proportions, heating cycles and the importance of managing your pile.

Then we will gather our materials, eat our lunch and build the pile.

We start at 10 and finish by 4 at the latest.

The Venue will be around Goonhavern TR4.  An email will be sent one week before the workshop is due to start with more details on address and how to get there as well as what to bring ect.  See booking form below for dates
