Compost workshops

We teach thermaphilic composting in workshops. These composts have a quick turnaround and if managed properly can result in biologically complete usable compost within in a couple of months. Good for regenerating your soil.  A great way to re-use your garden waste. Thermaphilic composting not only kills pests, diseases and pathogens but also weed seeds.

A typical workshop will last about a day, starting with a talk about the importance of microbes and their role in the soil, followed by some slides of soil. We will then talk about compost ingredients, different proportions and heating cycles and the importance of managing your pile, a compost thermometer and moisture levels.

Then we will gather our materials and build the pile.  Workshops to be announced.
